Knitting & Relaxation

This week I have started knitting my chunky blanket! I began with watching the videos I posted last week and listened to the instructions as I began. I worked on it for about an hour and got about 10 rows complete.

One thing I didn’t expect was how much yarn is taken up for such a short length. I have now run into the problem that I need more yarn to complete my blanket. As I had said before, I purchased 4 balls of the yarn, however, I can now see that I will need about 4-6 more. I went straight onto the Michaels website to find that they have sold out of my yarn both in-store and online! So now I must start the search for more at other stores, or hope that Michaels will get more in stock!

Other then my yarn shortage, I found the beginning of my blanket to be a lot of fun so far. The pattern is so simple and easy to do and I find it really relaxing! One thing I find helps me to relax when doing my knitting is putting on some calming music. The following is a great YouTube playlist I found that has some slow songs and covers from various artists to help you relax while doing any task!

My fingers are crossed to find more yarn for next week! Come back for another update on my super soft blanket process.

  1. Your finished chunky knit blanket will be so Pinterest worthy! What colours are you using? Do you think you’ll keep it for yourself or give it to someone as a Christmas gift?
You may be able to find yarn for a cheaper price on VarageSale or Facebook Marketplace, or if you want it new try Walmart or Gale’s Wholesale.

    1. Thank you, I’m getting excited to more it comes together! I haven’t decided if I’ll keep it or give it away yet, but one of these would make a great gift! I’ll also be sure to check out those places, thanks for the suggestion.
